Same Account For Mac
Hello All Not a MAC user. I have checked Internet but question is not quite asked in same manner. MAC OS Mail application, how do I add a second Exchange mailbox for simultaneous access send and receive? 2 mailboxes for same domain: i.e. Accounts@domain.com and user@domain.com Note delegation is not used here, each mail box has it's own user name / password. In Mail I now have 2 Exchange accounts at 2 separate domains i.e, user@domain.com and user2@domain2.com, this works.
When I try to add accounts@domain.com, the second mail box for that domain it errors with cannot login to mail server. I can add, user@domain.com and accounts@domain.com but never at the same time. In Outlook on Windows I would simply go to Accounts settings and add each account. Exchange platform is 2010 hosted exchange. Thanks in advance. Yes, I have one domain and I am signed into my Mac with my AD account.
I've had that account in my Mac mail for months now and use its ll the time. I just went yesterday and added a second AD account that I use for testing to my Mac Mail.
It went in without and problem and I have confirmed that I can send from that account and receive to it without issue. Each account has separate passwords and there is no mailbox designation. Not sure if this makes any difference or not, but I am an admin on my Mac. Also, I do know that earlier versions of Mac Mail did have some issues with Exchange, but that was several versions ago. If you are relatively up to date on your version of OS X and continue to have this issue, I'd suspect that it has something to do with the fact that your Exchange system is hosted.
Same Account For Macroing
Mine is on-premise so I can't test that possible issue.
